This post may contain affiliate links. For more information please check out my disclosure page.

I started my own blogging journey knowing nothing, seriously, NOTHING! I have since used other blogs, books, and courses to gain more knowledge and grow my blog into what it is today. I am pretty happy with my progress and blog growth, especially considering most of my progress has come from trial and error. Blogging has become such a positive thing for me, it is allowing me to learn so much about myself, while also helping other people, which I love. If you’re a new blogger, I want your blogging journey to be fun too! I don’t want it to be too stressful and confusing, I do not want to see you struggling with trial and error like I did, or feeling like you want to quit because you are feeling overwhelmed! That is why I decided to create this list!

I wanted to create a post of the tools I couldn’t live without as a new blogger. These are my must haves and have really helped me grow my blog. If you are a new blogger, you may feel a bit overwhelmed. I know I did in the beginning. There is SO much information out there and so many different tools to pick from. How on earth do you now what is best?

If you are just starting out or considering starting a blog you may want to start with these posts first:

1 | Siteground

I recently switched from Blue Host to Siteground & have been SO happy with my choice. Siteground is a hosting provider, allowing me to have a self-hosted blog that is 100% owned by me.

I highly recommend Siteground and I talk all about it in THIS POST which explains why I decided to make the switch.

2 | Building A Framework e-book

This is such an amazing resource for new bloggers. The e-book literally walks you through every step of building, growing, and earning from your new blog. Abby makes it SO easy to build a successful blog by giving you all the information you need in one easy to follow resource.

I can’t recommend this tool enough if you are just getting started on your blogging journey. It goes over everything from launching your blog to earning an income.

3 | Board Booster

Board Booster is one of my favorite tools because it is basically a one time set-up and then you just leave it to do it’s thing. It is also super effective in growing your Pinterest, which in return brings you traffic & grows your blog!

Simpy use the looping feature to have Board Booster constantly be pinning for you. The more active you are on Pinterest, the more your pins are put in front of other people. Let Board Booster do all the work so you don’t have to spend all day pinning to your boards!

You can also use the Schedule option to schedule pins to be pinned on Group Boards you are contributing to. That way you can stay organized and ensure your posts are being pinned consistently!

You can try Board Booster out for FREE by using my link! There is no commitment, your trial will simply end unless sign up for a plan! If you think Board Booster is working well for you after your free trial, you can get the paid version for only $5/month!

4 | ConvertKit

ConvertKit is an email marketing platform that can help you grow your e-mail list. I switched to ConvertKit from Mail Chimp about 6 months ago, and I am so happy with the change. I personally find ConvertKit much more user friendly, specifically the automation and Sequence features, which I use quite often.

If you plan on taking blogging seriously, growing and utilizing your email list is a BIG part of that. It is also where a good majority of your blog income will come from, so investing in a e-mail marketing platform like ConvertKit is totally worth it in my opinion.

8 | PrettyLink Plugin

This will make your life so much easier! This is a Plugin you can install on your WordPress, that basically makes your links pretty! When you insert affiliate links on your blog, often they are a long URL filled with a trillion numbers. Pretty Links allows you to create a beautiful short link after your regular blog URL instead!

It is also awesome because all of your links are in one place, and you can easily insert them into your posts as you write them.

I recently found this Plugin and I am SO glad I did.
